JOB DUTIES: To exercise an organized and administrative control over the collection of past due loans in a way to minimize the bank’s loss; to advise and assist lenders in the collection of past due loans and to work with customers on a resolution; to assist with foreclosures and the repossession of collateral and to coordinate the sale of repossessions; to prepare documents and coordinate necessary legal actions; to prepare monthly Board reports that include repossessions and foreclosures in process. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One year of experience in collections in banking or finance fields. Preferably would be knowledge of state and federal (district) bankruptcy laws. Would know how to prepare file reports and have knowledge of foreclosure laws and attorney policies for Mississippi and Alabama, as well as knowledge of the Chancery Clerk/Probate Court and Tax Assessor/Collector system in both states. Candidates should demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to interact in a knowledgeable, professional and efficient manner as well as moderate knowledge of Word and Excel from work experience.
